What is BBL Hero?
The BBL™ Hero is the next-generation version of intense pulsed light treatments. “HERO” – which stands for “high energy rapid output” – improves the performance of traditional BBL, making it faster, more powerful, cooler for comfort, and safer than tradition IPL devices. As it uses two pulsing lights, large surfaces, such as the chest and back, can be treated in a short amount of time, leaving smoother, clearer skin. A series of 3 monthly treatments can erase years of sun damage. Specific filters are used for hair removal, leaving legs, arms, or back. BBL Hero treats redness, rosacea, sun and age spots, acne, and unwanted hair.

The BBL Hero Treatment
Your provider will apply a gel to the treatment area, then they will move the device hand-piece over the treatment area pulsing flashes of targeted light which is absorbed by the targeted skin or hair, to lead to clearing. Several passes are typically performed on each area. A series of 3 treatments for sun damage, or 5 treatments for hair removal are typical. Your CCSD provider will work with you to come up with a custom treatment plan.
What to Expect After Treatment
Post-procedure, your skin rmay be pink and slightly swollen. If brown spots are targeted, you will notice them toast a darker brown color and start to gently flake away over the next week or two. It is especially important to wear sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher after your BBL treatment.
