CoolSculpting vs. CoolSculpting Elite
CoolSculpting Elite is the latest and greatest version of the CoolSculpting body contouring experience. The new C-shape cup applicators allow for better tissue contact, which provides a more even cooling result and improved patient comfort.
Each device can treat two areas at a time to make the process even faster. Chicago Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology has two Elite devices to treat up to four areas in a single session for faster appointments. The elite applicators have not been shown to cause paradoxical adipose hyperplasia, an extremely rare adverse effect of cryolipolysis. Our practice only uses Elite devices.
The Science Behind CoolSculpting Elite
Freezing away fat is a scientific process. Due to its high sensitivity to cold compared to surrounding tissue, fat undergoes crystallization at a higher temperature than water in other cell types. CoolSculpting Elite safely delivers controlled cooling (cryolipolysis) to gently and effectively target fat cells underneath skin in the selected area.
Post-treatment, the fat is naturally eliminated by the body in one to three months, reducing up to 20% or more of stubborn fat.
