The energy is delivered via a hand-piece making contact with the skin, creating controlled pressure waves of energy (unfocused shock waves). These radial waves are used to treat dermatologic and cosmetic conditions by impacting the collagen structure and connective tissue of the skin, improving lymphatic drainage, increasing metabolic activity and stimulating collagen formation.

Slimspec radial wave therapy, comparable to the ZWave, is an FDA listed device used for the temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. It is a non-invasive treatment with no reported side effects or downtime. Patients simply feel the device shuddering against their skin throughout the procedure but the sensation is completely painless.

CCSD was one of the first clinics in Chicago to use the Slimspec or “Fat Cracker” to replace manual massage after CoolSculpting® and CoolMini™ fat freezing treatments. I’ve been seeing Dr. Ibrahim Omer for a few months now for some derm issues (perioral dermatitis, eczema). He instantly identifies the problem and prescribes appropriately. He is also great with taking the time to explain what’s happening, and how to manage the medications and creams once I get home.
