Ten years ago, there was only one approved treatment for metastatic melanoma. Today there are over 16. The critical dollars raised at the 7th Anniversary Gala will fund research grants at medical institutions across the United States to explore better treatments for patients. The Melanoma Research Foundation has been instrumental in supporting cutaneous melanoma research and has been a leader in funding research in the rarer forms of melanoma—ocular, mucosal and pediatric. The results of this research will pave the way to more treatment options, and my hope is, one day to find a cure.
