NEW at CCSD: Emsculpt Body Contouring

We are proud to announce that we are one of 11 centers across the US to offer Emsculpt body contouring treatments. Emsculpt is a form of electromagnetic therapy used to stimulate neuromuscular tissue and improve muscle tone to the abdomen and buttock areas. Suitable for both men and women with a healthy weight, patients will need a course of 4 treatments; 2 per week for 2 weeks. At 3 months thereafter, patients should get monthly treatments to maintain their result. CCSD: Supporting Science & Research

Here at CCSD we always strive to provide the latest and greatest in treatment options and knowledge for our patients. Both Dr. Carolyn Jacob and Brittany Rank, PA-C were key investigators in the clinical research for Emsculpt body contouring, making us one of the most familiar with the device and best able to provide optimal outcomes for patients. More recently Dr. Omer Ibrahim was published in Dermatologic Surgery magazine on the topic of injectable filler nodules and their implications in clinical practice. Although rare, if a nodule or inflammation does occur, our expert physicians are able to provide safe and swift resolution using their years of research and experience. In the coming months, Dr. Jacob and Dr. Ibrahim will also be participating in an FDA clinical trial regarding an investigational medication for treating cellulite. Exciting stuff! April is National Rosacea Awareness Month

The National Rosacea Society (NRS) designates April as Rosacea Awareness Month to educate the public on the impact of this chronic disorder, estimated to affect more than 16 million Americans. Often observed as redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead that may come and go, the earliest signs of rosacea are often overlooked because people assume they are temporary. Without medical treatment the effects of rosacea can become increasingly severe. Common symptoms include blushing and flushing, persistent redness, bumps and pimples, visible blood vessels, eye irritation, burning or stinging, a dry appearance, plaques, skin thickening and swelling.
